Fellowship

During her Junior year, Ashley was extremely proud to be a member and a campus director of the first inaugural cohort of the Millennium Fellowship at FIU. The Millennium Fellowship is a semester-long leadership development program aimed at accomplishing the UN sustainable development goals within your university community. In collaboration with the Millennium Campus Network and United Nations academic impact, Ashley created "Financing the Future: A Guide to Financial Literacy" which was a program at FIU that helped students improve their financial literacy. This program worked towards Sustainable Development Goals for No Poverty(1), Quality Education(4), and Reduced Inequalities(10).

In addition to her work as a fellow, Ashley organized meetings and events as the campus director. This position also allowed her to mentor the other 13 members of the cohort at FIU to ensure the various deadlines were reached and that fellows were able to be successful throughout the semester. This fellowship was especially impactful to Ashley as she developed her involvement as a global citizen.
